Rockford Speedway celebrates 70 years of racing

For 70 years, the Rockford Speedway has been a staple in Rockford and best known for it's entertainment and of course, racing. In the years since the 1940's, it's become one of the most popular short-tracks in the country.

Sports highlights for the day.

In it's 41st year, the Rockford Pro Am remains the longest running and free-standing pro-am golf tournament in the nation, and it's just that kind of success that keeps the professionals coming back year after year.

While the Rockford Pro Am may be set for Monday morning, it's the local stars battling it out on the green Sunday afternoon to see who can claim the title of this year's Aldeen Cup.

The Chicago Cubs have acquired ace Jose Quintana from the White Sox in a major trade between crosstown rivals.
