Rockford Park District To Activate Spray Pads at Area Parks
Because of the high heat index, the Rockford Park District has activated the spray pads at certain area parks as a way of helping area residents beat this heat.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Because of the high heat index, the Rockford Park District has activated the spray pads at certain area parks as a way of helping area residents beat this heat.
The spray pads will remain on until 8:00 p.m. today at the following locations:
-Beattie Playground
-Black Hawk Park
-Brown Park
-Churchill Park
-S. Henrietta Park
-Harmon Park
-Keye-Mallquist Park
-Liberty Park
-Washington Park
-Mandeville Park
Should a citizen want a spray pad to be activated, they should call 815-987-8800 (between Memorial Day and Labor Day) when the heat index is at least 85 degrees.
