The dangerous temperatures continue today, making outdoor work and activities almost unbearable. Some local residents found ways to beat the heat.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The dangerous temperatures continue today, making outdoor work and activities almost unbearable. Some local residents found ways to beat the heat.
This worker used an umbrella for shade while surveying the roads. some took a rest in the shade., while others just soaked up the sun. At least for a little while we’re still under a heat advisory so we're urged not to be outside too long unless we have to be.
