FREEPORT (WIFR) -- Governor Quinn is requesting federal help for Stephenson and Jo Daviess counties.
Earlier this week crews from FEMA met with local government representatives to review flood and storm related expenses. It was determined that the total cost was over seven million dollars.
In a letter to the president, Governor Quinn requested federal assistance to help resident’s re-coup up to 75 percent of those expenses. If the request is approved low interest loans would be available to people and businesses in the counties.
