STERLING (WIFR) -- Woodlawn Arts Academy is offering families two classes for a fun and unique way to spend Valentine’s Day weekend.
Date Night: Valentine’s Dinner features a cooking class for couples over the age of 18. For just $50 per couple, you will make and share a dinner featuring Grilled Filet of Beef with Herb Butter and Natural Jus, Yukon Gold Whipped Potatoes, Mixed Greens with Homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette and Double Chocolate Brownies. Bring your own beverage of choice and learn how to treat your sweetie with a delicious home-cooked meal at the Farmhouse on the Woodlawn Arts Academy campus.
If you don’t have anything for the kids to do, drop them off in the main building at the Academy! Children ages 3-13 can wear their pajamas, and bring their sleeping bags and pillows and enjoy the movie “Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown.” After the show, they will make a Valentine’s Day craft, learn a Valentine’s Day song with creative movements and enjoy a Valentine’s Day snack. Cost for this class is just $7.50 per participant.
Both classes are scheduled for 6:30-8pm (child drop-off and pickup will be available for 15 minutes before and after the Valentine’s Dinner class) on Saturday, February 16th. Registration is available online at activenet.active.com/woodlawnarts, by calling the Academy at (815) 626-4278 or by visiting the Academy during normal business hours of 9am-8pm Monday-Thursday, 9am-6pm Fridays and 9am-noon Saturdays. Woodlawn Arts Academy is proud to be supported by United Way of Whiteside County. Registration must be received by Wednesday, February 13th.
