Today is international walk to school day and dozens of students in the Harlem District participated.

The goal is to make it safer for kids to walk or bike to school and to promote a more active lifestyle.

Harlem got more than $5,400 in grant money for the program. About $1,400 will be used on incentive programs. $4,000 will be used for road safety signs, encouraging safer driving around school zones.
