While some local soldiers get ready to head off to war students across the world and here in the stateline celebrate international peace day.

Fourth and fifth graders at Jean McNair Elementary School in Winnebago made pinwheels. Decorations were on one side on the other side kids explained what peace means to them.

Then more than 225 students headed outside to display their creations in the shape of a peace sign!
