HUNTLEY, Ill. (AP) -- Teachers in the northern Illinois community of Huntley have reached a tentative agreement with the school district, bringing an end to this week's strike.

Students will be back in class Thursday after three days out of school.

Both the Huntley Education Association and the school board say negotiators reached a deal late Tuesday.

Contract talks started in February and the contract expired June 30th. Points of contention included salary, health benefits and pension contributions.

Huntley Consolidated School District 158 serves about 8,200 students.
