Thanks to a generous donation from US Cellular, 100 local kids will get to head back to school in style.

The company says they understand some families are struggling to provide school supplies for their children. That's why they're handing out backpacks filled with all the essentials.

US cellular has also made a 30 thousand dollar donation to the Children's Home and Aid in Rockford. The money will go towards programs for first through third graders and their families who need counseling and therapy.
