One lucky Rochelle student drove away from school today with a brand new car!

Andrew Schneider won this years car giveaway. For the past 16 years Sawicki's been giving away a car to a student at Rochelle's High School based upon student attendance.

If a student has perfect attendance for 9 weeks they're entered into the contest then at the end of the year a winner's picked. Schneider's now the proud owner of a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM.

Schneider plans on studying at Highland Community College next year before transferring to Western Michigan University where he hopes to earn a degree in music education so his new wheels should come in handy when making the trip down to school.
