Eleventh-graders took the 2007 Prairie State Achievement exam last spring. More than 320 schools failed to meet state standards overall. We have a horrible educational system, and each year it seems to get worse... More kids get lazy, and less punishment is emitted. Teachers need to start punishing for bad grades, because that's where the real problem lies. There are kids today that are too shy, or scared to raise their hands and ask questions. It's time to giving them a good education, and start forcing them one.
