10/16/2007-The last day to nominate a Pre-K through 5th grade Teacher for the 2008 Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Award is Thursday, October 25th. Don’t miss this opportunity to let that exceptional teacher know just how great they are!

Any one can nominate a special Pre-K through 5th grade teacher from any Winnebago or Boone County Public and ISBE Recognized Non-Public School. The Golden Apple Foundation will present 5 Golden Apple Awards in surprise classroom visits in March 2008. The Golden Apple Educational Excellence Celebration Banquet will be held on Friday, April 25, 2007 at the Radisson Hotel. The selected teachers will be celebrated on this evening and will receive cash awards for the classroom, laptop computers, professional development stipends, classroom software, Rockford College scholarships and induction into the Golden Apple Teacher Academy.
