MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- Mitt Romney's position as leading contender for the GOP presidential nod put him on the hot seat at Monday night's latest debate on Fox News in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Several of the other candidates attacked his record as a venture capitalist. Rick Perry pointed to a steel mill in Georgetown, S.C., where he said Bain Capital swept in, picked the company over, and left a lot of people without jobs. Romney retorted that four companies his firm invested in ended up having 120,000 jobs today.

Romney was also pressed to release his federal tax returns. He grudgingly said he might do that this spring, and added, "I have nothing in them that suggests there's any problem and I'm happy to do so."
