ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Despite frigid temperatures and blowing snow a group of protestors proved they are committed to their cause.

Occupy Rockford protested the second anniversary of the supreme courts ruling in the Citizens United decision versus the Federal Election Commission. The ruling allows corporations to donate unlimited funds to election activities anonymously. A handful of occupiers gathered outside the Roszkowski Courthhouse, waving what they call the "Corporate American Flag" and displaying signs against corporate greed.

Mike Schlossmann from Occupy Rockford said, "These contributions could potentially sway the results of elections that should otherwise be decided by the votes of the people. Not by special interest groups."

Occupy Rockford is having another event tomorrow morning at the Unitarian church starting at 10 am.
