WASHINGTON (AP) -- The first stop for President Barack Obama today is a conveyer belt plant in Iowa.
Restoring manufacturing jobs was one of the themes of his State of the Union speech last night. He's starting a three-day tour of some politically-crucial states to sell his 2012 economic policy goals.
Newt Gingrich says Obama seemed to be setting up "an entire year of getting nothing done." He's among the Republicans accusing Obama of dividing Americans with his proposed tax increases, including making sure that millionaire earners pay at least a 30 percent tax rate.
House Speaker John Boehner says America is not about "the politics of envy."
