(AP) -- There's a chance Illinois won't find out who won the Republican nomination for governor this week.
The State Board of Elections meets Friday to certify results from the Feb. 2 primary and declare a winner in the close race.
But if either candidate seeks a recount, the process could drag on.
Unofficial results show Sen. Bill Brady with a lead of 420 votes over Sen. Kirk Dillard.
Seeking a recount isn't something candidates take lightly. It's expensive, complicated and rarely used.
