Chicago Alderman Isaac Carothers isn't talking about his indictment on federal fraud and bribery charges.
In a brief statement issued Thursday by his office, Carothers says he won't talk about the charges because he hasn't seen the indictment.
Carothers is accused of receiving $40,000 worth of home improvements from a developer along with meals and tickets to sports events.
The 11-count indictment alleges that Carothers, in turn, supported the rezoning of a 50-acre former rail yard and industrial site on Chicago's West Side.
