Wisconsin Senator Pushes For Bus Seat Belts

WISCONSIN (WIFR) -- A recent school bus accident in Rockton that sent five students to the hospital, is motivating a Wisconsin senator to change one of the oldest polices in the books.

Senator Tim Cullen says he wants mandatory seat belts on all new buses. Saying it's quote," Outrageous" that we let our children roll down the road at 55 miles per hour without them. This is video of a crash in August that caused a Kininick bus to tip on its side. Luckily the kids only had minor injuries. Cullen helped pass the same law in Janesville when he was a school member.According to the lawmaker the bill would only apply to new vehicles and would be paid for with grant money.
