ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A college education may now be in the cards for some Rockford teens whose parents don't have the cash to make it happen.
It's now up to Governor Quinn to sign the Lincoln Promise Zone Act.It passed the Senate Wednesday. What it does is set up a college tuition fund in Rockford for low income public school students, so they could get a full ride scholarship to Rock Valley College. The money would come from private donations.
