ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Several top local leaders think Illinois is ready to allow concealed carry.
Winnebago County Chairman Scott Christiansen and Rockford Mayor Larry Morrissey have signed a petition stating Illinois should join the other 49 states in allowing concealed carry. The Rockford Tea Party has been collecting signatures for a few weeks. And they'll be out again tonight at the Rockford City Market trying to get more people to sign on.
