ILLINOIS (WIFR) -- The state’s treasurer is trying to convince us that the real solution to Illinois’ gridlock is new leadership.
Dan Rutherford continued his tour across the state, right here in Rockford. This weekend he formally entered the gubernatorial race, but he faces some stiff competition from other republicans including state senators Bill Brady and Kirk Dillard. Today Rutherford reminded his supporters that he’s the only one of those candidates to have already won a statewide race.
Over on the democratic side, former White House chief of staff, Bill Daley says he’ll decide whether to challenge Quinn in the next week. Attorney General Lisa Madigan is also weighing her options.
