ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A big phone conference is scheduled for Wednesday between the Secretary of State's Office and local leaders who represent Rockford's west side.
They're trying to come up with a solution to the looming closure of the Auburn Street DMV. Some ideas being floated around include opening a new facility in the old Singer Mental Health Building or an existing county building. There's also talk of expanding the Roscoe DMV. State Senator Dave Syverson tells 23 News there is very little chance the Auburn Street location will remain open. We'll let you know if anything was decided Wednesday on 23 News
