OAK PARK (WIFR) -- To make sure our kids are safe while in the classroom, all Illinois schools are now required to hold safety drills along with local law enforcement.
Governor Pat Quinn signed the legislation on Monday.The idea is to make it easier for police and other first responders if they are ever called on for an emergency. The law is in response to the deadly school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.
