WASHINGTON (AP) -- Even though Newt Gingrich is bowing out of the Republican presidential race today, his critical statements about likely nominee Mitt Romney will continue to be heard.

The Obama campaign has released an 80-second web video -- a compilation of clips from interviews and debates in which Gingrich criticizes Romney on issues ranging from immigration to his background as a venture capitalist.

Gingrich plans to formally announce Wednesday afternoon that he is suspending his campaign.

The former House speaker won primaries in just two states -- South Carolina and Georgia, which he represented in Congress for 20 years.

His campaign also has reported more than $4 million in debt.
