ILLINOIS (WIFR) – A Republican gubernatorial candidate feels small businesses are facing a lot of challenges in the is economy.
Bill Brady stopped by some Rockford shops in the Edgebrook Center to talk with workers. Brady shared part of his proposal to help Illinois’ economy.

“So we've got to leave the minimum wage where it's at. But a Brady administration would work to foster career-oriented jobs, not part-time minimum wage jobs, but career-oriented jobs where people can raise a family,” Brady said.

Brady faces off against businessman Bruce Rauner, state senator Kirk Dillard and treasurer Dan Rutherford on the Republican ticket. Illinois’ primary election is March 18th.
