BELVIDERE (WIFR) -- Gamblers made the City of Rockford $95,000 richer last month thanks to video gaming machines and the City of Belvidere might want in.
They met Monday night to discuss repealing their ban on gambling and charging $500 to license each machine instead of the $100 originally discussed. They now need to figure out if vendors would foot the bill or the business. A lot of bar owners want video gaming to offset the cost of a liquor license. The council will discuss the issue again next week.
