ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- We're getting a better idea of the type of business done at the Auburn Street DMV, that's the facility slated to close next week.
Data just released by the Illinois Secretary of State's Office shows most people use that site to register to vote or get a state ID. Only about 20% of business comes from drivers applying for a CDL license. Rockford leaders will use this information to help decide where a new west side DMV should be located.
