Gov. Says Burris Must Answer Questions Under Oath

Gov. Pat Quinn says Sen. Roland Burris is serving with a cloud over him and that Burris needs to answer questions from law enforcement under oath about his testimony at former Gov. Rod Blagojevich's impeachment hearings.

He calls Burris' decision to accept Blagojevich's appointment to the senate seat vacated by President Barack Obama a "gigantic mistake" and he says Burris is now paying the price for that decision.

Quinn talked to reporters Wednesday after an event at the University of Illinois in Champaign. He told them Burris is entitled to due process.

Burris is accused of giving incomplete testimony before the House Impeachment Committee last month. The Sangamon County state's attorney is reviewing that testimony.

Burris denies any wrongdoing and says he was truthful and consistent.
