Obama To Meet With McCain At Transition Office

CHICAGO (AP) -- President-elect Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain are scheduled to meet today for the first time since Obama beat the Republican in the Nov. 4 election.

The private meeting will be held at Obama's transition office in Chicago.

It comes as Obama has been interviewing some of his one-time political opponents to help him run the country.

But advisers to the former candidates have said they don't expect Obama to consider McCain for an administration job.

The two will be joined by Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Rep. Rahm Emanuel, an Illinois Democrat Obama has picked as his White House chief of staff.
