McCain In Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Arizona Sen. John McCain will be in Wisconsin today looking to meet voters and raise money.

The Republican presidential nominee is holding his first major fund-raiser in Wisconsin today. Tickets for the Milwaukee event range from $1,000 to $10,000.

Political experts say McCain is trying to woo the Wisconsin Republicans who supported home-state favorite Tommy Thompson in the early days of the race.

The former three-term governor endorsed McCain in February, six months after his own presidential bid ended.

McCain easily won Wisconsin's primary on Feb. 19. He's been the party's presumptive nominee for months.

The fund-raiser marks his second visit to the state since the primary. He's also holding a town-hall meeting in the Milwaukee suburb of Greendale this afternoon.
