Absentee Voting Underway in IL

ILLINOIS (WIFR) -- Starting today you will be able to cast your vote for the upcoming elections.

Absentee voting is now underway in Illinois and it will allow you to cast your vote if you are not able to make it out to the polls this November.

Registered voters can pick up a ballot from at the County Clerks Office or request an application for an absentee ballot by the mail.

Voters have until October 28, 2010 to return the application and absentee ballots must be postmarked by midnight on November 1, 2010.

To request an application for an absentee ballot or for any other information about early voting you can contact the Rockford Board of Elections at (815) 987-5750 or log on to www.voterockford.com.
