ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- One crime that just doesn't seem to be getting any better in Rockford is prostitution. In fact, there are more than sixty prostitution complaints filed each month.

That’s more than two complaints a day. Police Chief Chet Epperson asked officers this morning to target prostitutes on a daily basis. The department conducted stings on September 22nd and 29th. Most of the girls were just given verbal warnings, but officers have been told to arrest prostitutes if they're seen on the streets a second time.
