ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Six days ago Woodward CEO Tom Gendron spoke before more than one thousand Rockford Residents with his views on how to transform the Rockford community.
Wednesday night it was over one thousand Rockford business leaders that heard Gendron's tales of transformation.
"You know I believe that they are the same. You can take one and the practice of business you can apply to the community. The community's more difficult because there are a lot more people, a lot more views but I think the process and approach, if you get everyone working together and engaged, can work," Gendron said.
Gendron was the keynote speaker at the Rockford Area Economic Development Council's annual dinner. Gendron says before the speech that construction at the new Woodward location is both on track and on budget.
To give you an idea of how big the $300 million expansion project is. Gendron says there's going to be 5 million pounds of steel in the new Loves Park facility.
