ROCKFORD (WIFR) – The partial government shutdown was felt by the Rockford Housing market. Realtors say the number of homes sold last month dropped nearly 5%.
346 properties were sold down from 416 in October of 2012.
However, it’s not all bad news. Prices went up, marking the second straight month of year to year gains. The average price of homes sold in October was $104,000, up nearly 3% from $101,000 last year.
