LOVES PARK (WIFR) -- Chrissy Walsh, an account executive for Mid-City Business Interiors, has joined the American Red Cross- Rock River Chapter’s board of directors. Chrissy began working for the board in June of 2013. As a member, she will partner with and provide guidance to the chapter executive in developing and monitoring local strategies to deliver mission related services, raise funds in accordance with the chapter goals, operate within the chapter budget, and along with the chapter executive partner, be recognized as the “Face of the Red Cross” in her community.
The American Red Cross exists to provide compassionate care to those in need. Their network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world, through five key service areas: disaster relief, service to the armed forces, health and safety services, lifesaving blood, and international services.
Serving Winnebago, Boone, Lee and Ogle counties, the Rock River Chapter seeks to help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to natural and human-caused disasters through the immediate mobilization of people and resources. Beyond disaster relief, the Chapter delivers Community Disaster Education, First Aid/CPR, and other types of life-saving health and safety training to thousands of people across the region.
