LOVES PARK -- Illinois Growth Enterprises will open a search for a new president of the not-for-profit organization that provides vocational services to adults with disabilities, according to IGE board president Bob Gough.
IGE’s previous president, Don Thayer, was recently named the president of the Rockford Area Economic Development Council.
Established in 1970, IGE provides adults with disabilities with job-training classes, employment services and life skills programs. IGE is an ISO 9001 Registered and14001 Compliant organization. Its employees fulfill contracts that IGE has with over 60 companies for packaging, assembly and electronics recycling in their 175,000 square foot facility. Customers include Canon USA, Newell Rubbermaid, Thermo Fisher Scientific and others.
In 2010, Illinois Growth became an affiliate of Bridgeway, a rehabilitation organization that provides services and employment to persons in need in 13 locations in Illinois and Iowa.
