Fifth Third e-Bus Offers Consumers Financial Empowerment Counseling

ROCKFORD/FREEPORT (WIFR) -- Fifth Third Bank announced today that its popular e-Bus tour will make stops in Freeport and Rockford, Ill. during the month of October.

Fifth Third’s e-bus tour will offer free one-on-one personalized counseling including advice about savings and budgeting, home buying and borrowing, understanding your credit and protecting your identity.
Since 2004, Fifth Third’s eBuses have travelled across the country to help meet the financial needs of underserved populations. The eBus is 40-foot long and equipped with computer workstations with Internet connectivity powered by satellite technology and is staffed with local Fifth Third Bank community development managers, mortgage professionals and retail bankers.

Fifth Third has partnered with over 925 non-profit and government agencies to serve a diverse population of more than 3.5 million people. Through its eBus initiative, the Bank has better equipped consumers with the skills and tools they need to make informed decisions that contribute to their financial well-being and fulfill their dreams.

  • Wednesday, October 23, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Fifth Third Bank, Freeport Housing Authority and Family Credit Management will host the bank’s mobile e-Bus at Hosmer Highrise, 601 N. Walnut, Freeport. Here, guests can partake in counseling on homeownership, foreclosure, credit repair and more. For the first time in Freeport, the bank will offer access to its popular initiative, “Next Job,” to any interested residents seeking help with résumés, cover letters, interviews, networking and other related topics.

  • Wednesday, October 23, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Fifth Third Bank, Freeport Housing Authority and Family Credit Management will host the bank’s mobile e-Bus at Westview Nancy Holtum Center, 1435 Westview Road, Freeport. Here, guests can partake in counseling on homeownership, foreclosure, credit repair, and more. The bank will offer access to its popular initiative, “Next Job,” to any interested residents seeking help with résumés, cover letters, interviews, networking and other related topics.

  • Thursday and Friday, October 24-25. Fifth Third Bank will join Zion Church, Rockford Housing Authority and Family Credit Management and bring its mobile e-Bus to the Rockford area (locations below) where guests can partake in counseling on homeownership, foreclosure, credit repair, and more. For the first time in Rockford, the bank will offer access to its popular initiative “Next Job” to any interested residents seeking help with résumés, cover letters, interviews, networking and other related topics.

  • Thursday, October 24, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. @ Fairgrounds Valley, 1015 W. Jefferson St., Rockford

  • Friday, October 25, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. @ Rock River Valley Food Pantry, 421 S. Rockton Ave., Rockford
