DOW Closes Above 11,000 For First Time In Five Months

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The stock market seemed to shrug off the days bad job news. 23 News Financial Expert Brad Gummow says closing above 11,000 shows there is a lot of momentum building.

Gummow adds strong third quarter earnings are contributing to the upswing. So, if you're still on the sidelines, Gummow says, you might not want to stay there too long and miss out on the action.

"You have fewer disgruntled people underwater or at a loss on their investments, so there is additional buying pressure brought by surpassing some of these psychological barriers."
