MACHESNEY PARK (WIFR) -- Cheers and applause break out at Practice Velocity as the medical software company's CEO David Stern cuts the ribbon outside their new location at the Machesney Park Mall.
"We can grow and attract tremendous talent from all around the community, "Stern said.

Stern has now turned the former Kohl's building on the west side of the mall into office space large enough for over 250 employees. Michael Nicholas, Rockford Area Economic Development Council, is hoping this big move will encourage other businesses to do the same.
''The more jobs we create, the more primary jobs such as these jobs, then that brings along the retail trade that comes along with those jobs," Nicholas said.
