ROCKFORD(WIFR) -- 250 properties were sold in July. This is over 100 less than in June. July marked the first time in nearly 2 years no artificial stimulus was present to stimulate sales.

Local real estate expert Steve Bois says it's all about jobs. This, along with confidence will be key to keep our housing market on the recovery path.

"There's still level of interest out there so smart buyers are still looking at websites, going to open houses, so we believe the interest is still there but the confidence is key. The economy is not rebounding at a rapid rate, it's rebounding very slowly, so I think that will have a long term impact on what we see in month to month transactions."
