5 Years After Lehman Brothers Collapse

NEW YORK (WIFR) -- It's been five years since the collapse of Lehman Brothers, what's widely considered the start of the economic downturn.

After 158 years in business Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy back in September 2008. Shocking investors and causing the Dow to tumble more than 500 points.

A new Gallup poll shows 21 percent of Americans today say the economy is the most important problem in the country, five years ago it was at 47 percent.
