Analysts say young professionals will have a crucial role to play when our economy turns around, especially due to the massive wealth loss older generations have experienced. Young professionals are an important role in our area.
Einar Forsman says the Rockford Chamber of Commerce is working hard on keeping and attracting young professionals to the Rockford area. According to Forsman, employers need to know they have an educated workforce to draw from before they will even consider coming to the region. What builds wealth to our community is being in high-paying, quality jobs. However, if we can’t keep the young population here, well have a hard time luring business here in the future.
Young professionals are considered adults, between the ages of 25 and 39. The average salary of a Rockford worker is $45,000.
