10:10 Economy: The Baby Boomers

The baby boomer generation has certainly not been untouched from recent job losses. In fact, many boomers say they think they're having a harder time finding work because of their age and prior experience. We take a look at what employment experts say is key for this generation to land a job.

"Adaptability is just critical for all of us." So, when you're preparing that resume, Lorayne Logan says highlight your transferrable skills so employers can see beyond the obvious, what you can do for their company.

Also, if you're teh victim of a major company layoff, phrase it that way during an interview. Logan says, saying 'my entire department was downsized,' sounds much better than someone thinking you were the lone cut. In addition, Logan says don't be too pushy about where you've been and what you've done.

"You can't be demanding the same wage and benefits because those are gone. You have to have a very positive, engaging personality, because that's what we all want to work with.. we don't want a downer. And I got to tell ya, voice and appearance and all that equate to promise."

And Logan says despite what some may think, she's not seeing a total migration from hiring boomers. She says new graduates with no experience are having the same problems.

    I guess the boomers have to suffer like the rest of us now. I guess they should have stewarded the economy a little better over the last 30 years they've been in power. Good luck retiring. PS I'm not going to bail you out Sincerely The Millenial generation
