BELOIT (WIFR) -- July award winners are for the “Where The FUN Begins” award presented by Visit Beloit went to Scott and Teala Lamoreux and La Kimberly Jefferson. The award recognizes individuals, organizations, businesses and/or attractions that promote our region in a positive, up-beat manner.
Scott and Teala Lamoreaux, owners of Northwoods Premium located at 314 State Street, are great hospitality ambassadors who support and partner with the Beloit community. La Kimberly Jefferson, Beloit Memorial High School’s Assistant Principal for the School District of Beloit since 2009, oversees the nationally recognized 5-block schedule at the school, and is in charge of the quality educational courses offered each summer at BMHS. LaKimberly has an engaging smile and positive attitude and maintains a friendly rapport with students. It is no surprise that her heart is invested in the 16:49 Project, benefiting the homeless youth in our community, often working in the background engaging these students and their families.
“Where The Fun Begins award is a wonderful way to recognize those individuals and organizations who make the greater Beloit region a great place to live, work, play, shop and dine,” said Monica Krysztopa, Executive Director, Visit Beloit.
Awards were presented on July 31th at Northwoods Premium and at Beloit Memorial High School.
