Update: 1957 Sycamore Murder

SYCAMORE, Ill. (AP) -- A judge says that attorneys for a man charged in the slaying of a local girl more than 50 years ago must disclose their client's alibi.

Seventy-two-year-old Jack McCullough of Seattle is charged in the kidnapping and death of 7-year-old Maria Ridulph (RIH'-dulph) of Sycamore in 1957.

She was abducted from her neighborhood in December of that year and her remains were found the following April in rural Jo Daviess County.

McCullough is a former neighbor. He's claimed he has an alibi for the day she disappeared and has pleaded not guilty. The (DeKalb) Daily Chronicle reports (http://tinyurl.com/8wvvk96 ) that Kane County Associate Judge James Hallock ordered McCullough's attorneys to disclose information about the alibi on Tuesday.

Hallock also says prosecutors must give the defense more information about the slaying.
