ROCKFORD (WIFR) — Carol Perenchio, DNP, FNP-BC has been announced as the new Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) Coordinator for Saint Anthony College of Nursing (SACN).
Dr. Perenchio has been employed by OSF since 2012 and has served most recently as a family nurse practitioner with OSF Medical Group. In her new position as DNP coordinator and member of the academic graduate faulty, she will coordinate the various specialty tracks of the DNP program in collaboration with graduate faculty.
Dr. Perenchio responsibilities include the overall DNP curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation of academic and clinical practice experiences. This includes student competencies, assuring quality, and adherence to standards and requirements. She maintains an ongoing program of scholarly activity and supports the expected outcomes of the program through publications, presentations, activities, and community and academic service activities. She is also responsible for student recruitment, admissions, and advisement, and develops and teaches courses in her area of expertise.
Dr. Perenchio earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder CO., and her Doctorate of Nursing, Community Nursing/Family Health Nurse Practitioner from Rush University, Chicago.
