STATELINE (WIFR) -- Doctors are hoping some changes to the flu vaccine will mean fewer people getting sick this upcoming flu season.
For the first time there are vaccines available that protect against four strains of the flu virus instead of just three. The catch is manufacturers are expecting to produce more than 135 million doses of flu vaccine this year and only about 30 million will protect agans the four strains. Our best bet might be the nasal spray vaccine because all doses in the U.S. will contain the four strains.
