BELOIT (WIFR) -- Beloit Health System’s Heart and Vascular Center is acknowledging excellence in cardiac services for the tenth consecutive year.
Teri Covey, Cath Lab, was announced as the recent recipient of the Egbujiobi Family Award for Cardiac Care Excellence. This award was established by Beloit Health System Cardiologist Dr. Leo Egbujiobi and his wife, Bridget, and is awarded through the Foundation.
Teri Covey, RT(R), RCIS has been in the Cath Lab for eight years and she is a driving force behind the success of the program. Teri has achieved the advanced credential of RCIS- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist and is a great role model for all new Cath Lab employees.
The award recognizes members of the Cardiology staff who show superior service and leadership in caring for cardiac patients. Heart and Vascular Center staff members are nominated by their peers for this honor. Also recognized for their outstanding contribution to the Heart and Vascular Center were and Kathy Bell, RN, Jodi Landis, Vascular Lab and Shelly Tyler, Director of Cardiovascular Services.
“We have achieved our goal of developing a recognized and viable Heart and Vascular Center thanks to the dedication of each of you,” explains Dr. Egbujiobi. “We have a very talented and dedicated cardiac staff who make all the difference for our patients and this award helps recognize this.”
