STEPHENSON COUNTY (WIFR) -- Stephenson County leaders hope a new study will give them a better understanding of where they stand economically.
The county is one of five Northwest Illinois counties participating in a study that will survey the cost of doing business and analyzes what makes the county attractive for new and existing companies.
NIU's Center for Governmental studies is leading the project. The study will focus on four industry areas; manufacturing, logistics, health care and agriculture.
The study's results are expected to be released by the end of the year.
