YWCA Rock County Seeking "Women of Distinction" Nominations

ROCK COUNTY (WIFR) -- YWCA Rock County is accepting nominations for the 2013 Women of Distinction awards luncheon.

These awards honor women who:

Have demonstrated excellence, accomplishment and creativity in their profession, community or lives;

Have exhibited qualities of leadership, teamwork, integrity and dedication;

Are role models for other women and have inspired other women and girls to achieve success;

Are committed to improving the quality of life in our community;

Are dedicated to social justice, racial equality and diversity throughout our community.

Honorees are selected by an independent panel of community members, past recipients and YWCA board members.
Last year our signature event honored Barb Cisler, Nancy Belle Douglas, Kay Deupree, Marcia Galvan, Deb Kolste and Wanda Sloan.

Nominations must be received by February 1, 2013.
Recipients are presented their award and invited to speak at our elegant spring luncheon Friday, April 12 at the Holiday Inn Express in Janesville. Nomination forms and a list of past recipients are available at www.ywcarockcounty.com.
